There are many examples of strain in educational system. For example, in the illustration above, there were 10 teachers in time 1. Now in time 2, there are 7 teachers in a school because 3 teachers are retired. The change in the number of teachers is a strain in the school system. Another example is the change of safe environment within a school system. From students'point of view, students were relatively safe in the school, but in time 2, the safe environment became worse in the school because of guns, drugs, and student violence. Also, there is a strain in terms of the number of students in a course when 70 students enrolled in the beginning of the semester, but 50 students remain and others dropped during the semester. The increase of tuition is also a kind of strain to students. That is, in time 1, the tuition was not expensive so students did not have to work, but in time 2, the tuition increases and so students have to work more to support it.
